Looking for game advice
Hello, I’m reaching out seeking some guidance. Recently, I’ve been struggling to enjoy my current PC games. All the titles I currently play—Destiny 2 plus expansions, Red Dead Redemption 2, Borderlands 3, Modern Warfare, and The Witcher 3—have been challenging me to understand why. Today I tried Zelda: Breath of the Wild on my console and discovered the reason for my dissatisfaction. It seemed more relaxed and less rigid, offering a casual yet engaging experience. My current PC games often feel like they’re forcing me to play just because of investment rather than genuine enjoyment. I also appreciate the puzzle elements in Zelda. Since I don’t have many fellow gamers, I’ve turned to online forums for advice on finding a game that matches my tastes. Thank you for your time, and I hope someone replies.
I understand your perspective - even though I wasn't a fan of story-driven games, I realized that playing with friends makes everything much better. It's also helped me reduce the overall time I spend gaming, allowing me to focus on more meaningful activities.
I understand many people like this.
I used to play solo games only, but competitive multiplayer soon became popular...
When Outer Worlds was released, I had to try it, even though I thought I missed the ranked challenges.
It was really rewarding—no fights, just a calm experience.
Last week I also started playing Witcher 3 again.
At first I didn’t enjoy it, but now I can’t stop playing it.
I suggest giving Outer Worlds a try and spending more time on Witcher 3.
The Witcher story is great, but you don’t need to follow it closely to appreciate it.
I completely understand enjoying time with friends. However, switching to PC has left me without any friends. Also, my gaming activity is much less now than before. That’s definitely not “over gaming.”
The outer worlds seemed promising. I haven’t explored them much, but they resembled the fallout feel, which is pretty interesting. With bethesda seemingly giving up, I’ve been playing Witcher 3 on PS4 for a while and now I’m back to where I started on PC, still waiting to play it. The mouse controls were a bit off, but that’s something time can usually sort out.
The Outer Worlds bears a resemblance to New Vegas, which is nice because it was a great game. And yes, the Witcher controls can feel quite awkward if you're not familiar with them. I had to express my frustration a lot during the early stages. But even if you struggle to get comfortable with M&K, just switch to a controller ^^
I’ve never linked a controller, is it just plug and play or requires more steps? (PS4 controller)
