Sure, after winning the game multiple times it starts to feel repetitive. I managed to beat it twice (except for the dlcs, where I only played once) and then I got tired. My main concern is that the combat feels off—there’s no clear reason to use the xbow skill tree or even xbows. The sign choices also seem poor, and fast attack builds clearly outperform strong ones. People are complaining about the combat system, and some stopped playing because of it. Even if things were worse, I’d still enjoy the game.

Saints Row 2 offers a unique take on the genre, though its performance is limited by the quality of the porting. It includes many features that make GTA V seem basic, and you can tailor your single-player experience in ways similar to Minecraft but with a distinct flair.

Sure, the crossbow isn't very effective except for taking out harpies or other airborne creatures. And even then I opt for something else.

Wolfenstein, Old Blood and New Order offer excellent solo experiences. Shadow Warrior provides a rewarding challenge, especially when dealing with demons. AM2R is also solid, and I just completed it—it felt quite refreshing.
