I own an extremely outdated Windows Vista machine. It has an Intel Pentium E2140 processor, a 950 GPU, 320 GB HD storage, and 1 GB of RAM. I acquired another very old computer and combined them to create the most functional setup possible. I purchased a budget SSD and installed Windows 10 on my new, aging system. My specs are: AMD Athlon 64 X2 CPU, NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE GPU, 120 GB SSD plus 320 GB HD, and 2 GB RAM. (I’m aware it’s still not great, but that’s what I have.) The issue is that despite my new GPU being marginally improved over the old one, it’s barely functioning. The same games that worked fine on my previous setup are now extremely frustrating. I tried running Age of Empires 2 and noticed a missing directDraw feature. After installing it, the problem persisted (perhaps due to installation errors?). I reinstalled the driver and restarted my PC, but nothing changed. I’m reaching out to forums for advice, hoping someone can assist. Thanks, Wojciech

Significant delays might occur here; enter your GPU and CPU specifications at https://pc-builds.com/calculator/ to get detailed insights about the combination.

Are you attempting to run these games on Windows 10? It's possible your hardware lacks the necessary drivers, so you might want to consider reverting to Windows XP or Windows 7.

It’s probably the most probable reason.

My equipment is outdated, it doesn't display properly. However, I’m sure there’s no limitation since I played the same games on a weaker GPU, CPU, and less RAM.
