Hello everyone, I’ve been using this rig since about 2018 and had no issues until recently. Earlier today I saw a blue screen while playing a game. The error code displayed was IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, which caused my PC to shut down. By turning off the motherboard’s OC Genie (MSI X99A), it started working again and ran much faster. Now I’m facing another problem—I don’t know what triggered it or how to fix it. My CPU is an I7-6800K and it’s only running at 0.7MHz, which is way below its speed. When I tried the OC Genie once more, it failed to start completely. The BIOS shows my CPU temperature consistently between 99–100°C. I’m not as familiar with computer systems anymore and feel stuck without clear guidance. Thanks for any help you can offer.

I haven’t touched the rig yet, which means I didn’t flip any switches. Right now I’m using the PC, but it’s running very slowly because of the weak CPU performance.

It's currently running in a reduced state. I'll reset the BIOS settings and check. This was definitely the same issue that occurred prior to my CPU failing.

This resolved the issue temporarily. I'll monitor closely to confirm it wasn't a single spike. I won't need to replace anything since they don't have the capability. Thanks a lot!

the processor is functioning properly, yet the machine feels slow and doesn't operate smoothly.

Verify your processor performance. It used to run around 4.2ghz with OC Genie, but now it's at 3.6ghz, making it slow. Compare this in XTU and use Cinebench for a detailed benchmark.
