I recently purchased the 8x2 xpg gammix 3000 at 800 MHz. When I tried one stick it wouldn’t boot, and the other one didn’t either. My old G-Skill Ripjaws 4x2 at 2400 MHz worked fine now—using a B350 mortar and a 3600, with beta BIOS from MSI. I’m having trouble and need assistance because I can’t return this RAM for health and safety reasons in Canada.

Erase the CMOS. Replace the CPU and test both slots 2 and 4. Experiment with mixing RAM modules and if none of the new setups work, it might be a faulty unit.

I resolved the CMOS issue, but I’m not sure it’s related to the CPU.
