Hey, you're looking to replace your current setup. You have an i7 7700 and a 3060ti, which isn't ideal. You're planning to upgrade RAM, cooling, power supply, and other components, but you're not focusing on the GPU. You're aiming for a balanced Intel CPU without overspending, but you're open to suggestions if you want more options.

Many LGA 1700 chips from the 12th, 13th, or 14th generation series offer a substantial performance boost. The Core i3 12100F delivers roughly 25-30% improvement over the i7 7700. Could you share your budget and location?

You're in the UK, and that's acceptable for prices around 200-400.

For the CPU upgrade, please specify if you want it for the CPU only or a complete system upgrade.

Based on recent UK listings on PCPartPicker, the Core i5 13600K (£287) or Core i7 13700K (£364) provide the best performance for your budget. The cheapest option would be the Core i5 13500 at £232. You don’t need to stress about the CPU being too powerful if you play a variety of games—some will be more CPU-intensive while others focus on graphics. The 3060 Ti is a solid choice, not too slow for an i7 depending on your settings and game choices.
