I recently purchased GTA V on PC via Steam. I downloaded it and played it for three hours without any issues. Then I wanted some mods for single-player, so I installed the main trainer and a speedometer mod. I thought it would be wise to test the game first before adding more modifications. When I started, I encountered an endless loading screen, so I closed the game, removed the mods, and tried again. This time I was stuck in the same infinite load. Eventually, I exited and reopened the game, but performance dropped significantly—from 60 to 30 to 16 frames per second. My CPU is an Intel Core i5 4690K and my GPU is a 980 Ti.

There needs to be an alternative solution. It took me 15 hours to set it up.

That didn't resolve the issue, and I also tried running the game with admin privileges.
