I own a Dell OptiPlex XE2 with an Intel Core i5 4570, 4 cores, 4 threads, and DDR3 8GB RAM. I discovered a GTX 1060 with 6GB of VRAM. Can I install it directly on my OptiPlex? Is it possible to run the GTX 1050 Ti straight from the same unit? Do I need a replacement power supply? Which GPU would perform better on my OptiPlex? Will getting the GTX 1060 provide a noticeable improvement over the GTX 1050 Ti?

Which one suits you better depends on your needs—smaller size or compact tower design.

GTX 750 Ti or RX 560 could be a suitable choice.

These cards are old relics today, offering almost no strength compared to modern abilities.

I would check the available space and connectors. The 1060 needs external power, while 1050 and 1650/1050 Ti may not. The RX 560 follows similar rules. It's also key to verify whether your case is a tower or a compact build—thin PCs might need a low-profile card, or possibly lack a PCI-E slot at all.

A few 1050TIs skip power connectors, though only certain versions do. The main concern is whether the additional 75W adds up or is unnecessary.
