Hi there, I'm working on overclocking my CPU. My motherboard is a P8 B75-M LX and I'm using an i7 3770k. I've tried adjusting the CPU ratio but haven't reached 35 yet. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The mobo doesn't support CPU multiplier OCing
Thanks for the help, is there a way of BCLK or am I just stuffed until I get a new motherboard?
IMO, What you would get out of BCLK OCing an i7-3770K would not be worth all the trouble you'll face in trying to get it stable.
Try to find a Z77 M/B like this and you won't be held back by anything but your overclocking knowledge and your CPU cooling.

Edit: If you are even considering getting another motherboard do not wait too long, they are quickly disappearing from availability.

Another user responded to the discussion, noting that the motherboard doesn't support CPU multiplier OCing and suggesting alternatives. They also mentioned that attempting BCLK overclocking an i7-3770K might not be worth the effort due to potential instability issues. The advice included looking for a Z77 M/B and emphasizing the importance of good cooling solutions.

4Ryan6 shared feedback with others about CPU overclocking options. Tradesman1 mentioned the motherboard doesn't support CPU multiplier OCing and suggested checking for a Z77 M/B board instead. The original poster was advised against BCLK OCing an i7-3770K due to potential instability risks. An edit noted the availability of new motherboards is dwindling quickly. Another user recommended upgrading to a faster CPU as the most reliable solution.
