Looking for assistance with boosting your AMD FX8350?
I am just starting with overclocking and need some guidance. I'm unsure which settings to adjust and have searched for CPU guides, but some options aren't listed in my motherboard BIOS. Could you provide a visual reference of the correct settings for an Asrock mobo?
Yes, you need a stronger board to handle the stress that the 8350 can exert on those weak VRMs, which might fail anytime.
Taking into account that the motherboard doesn't support the 8350 and its VRMs aren't capable of handling it even in stock mode, would be a poor decision. The fact that the motherboard can't handle the CPU at its default settings raises concerns about potential damage. Should I consider replacing the motherboard?

Oh yes if you even running the 8350 on that board your crazy try going for something with a 990fx chipset they offer the best overclocking headroom on the AMD chips I am running the Asus crosshair formula-Z
Also what sort of numbers are you looking for? there is a wall on AMD chips where they end up needing loads of volts to get past some speeds like example the 8350's most common OC is 4.4ghz 4.5ghz past that normally needs high amounts of volts.
Also how long have you had the chip for is it new? reason being the new chips of the 8350 a not as good as the older bunch before the 9590 was brought out as the better clocking chips are binned for the 9000 range chips now. I was lucky and got mine way before the 9000 series was announced.
