Hi everyone, I'm working on an older gaming laptop that's been overheating, and I'm trying to get a proper case. I was thinking about using the CPU I have, but I noticed most people searching for the Intel Core i7 4710HQ mention soldered CPUs instead of LGA 1150 models. Since my CPU isn't soldered, can I still use it with an older motherboard that has a LGA 1150 socket? Thanks for your help!

The socket type is PGA947, not LGA1150. This mobile CPU isn't compatible with a desktop motherboard.
