I need assistance with improving my first PC. I plan to upgrade the CPU later, but right now I have an Intel Xeon E3-1245 V3. To do that, I need to replace the motherboard since I'm using the original Dell OptiPlex 3020 MT. I'm not sure which budget motherboard to choose.

Looking to improve my first PC. I plan to upgrade the CPU later, but I’m unsure what to choose now. (Low Budget) (LGA) My current setup includes:
Power Supply: Thermaltake Smart 500W
Graphics Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 1070
RAM: Viper 2×8 16GB DDR3
I’m considering a motherboard upgrade, as I currently use the Dell OptiPlex 3020 MT board.

Yes, and what concerns the PSU is unclear.

It's an inexpensive, group-managed PSU from a bygone era built for PCs before GPUs existed. Thermaltake essentially repurposed low-cost Sirfa components and branded them under their own label.

You haven't specified the budget or the source for purchasing the components.

Yeah, but I'm not replacing the RAM, and what's going on with mobo?
I mostly purchase from Ebay and a bit from Amazon.
The budget for upgrading the CPU is $50 to $60.

Hey, take a look at what you can achieve with that $60.00 investment.
I’ve purchased from them before and haven’t experienced any issues.
It’s DDR3 registered memory, so gaming won’t affect it. The main thing is you’ll need a compatible Xeon processor for it to function properly.
Just replace your GTX 1070 with this, and it should perform well. At the end of the day, it’s just about finding a reliable seller with positive reviews, similar to what you’d get on eBay.
