I'm looking for ways to lower your PC's temperature during summer, cut power use for better UPS life, and accept a slight drop in performance. Most guides are too complex or just suggest trial-and-error with your specific setup (AMD Ryzen 7 5700X, RTX 3090).

Record your current configuration before adjusting. Experiment with the proposed changes. If they don’t achieve the intended result, revert to the original settings.

A simple approach is to enable eco mode on the CPU and apply Afterburner to control GPU power usage. Lower it by about 20% to keep performance under 10% drop in speed. You can still undervolt, but it won’t significantly reduce consumption—it will cause clocks to run faster.

Your feedback together made a noticeable impact. The differences in power usage for Elden Ring are minimal, around 100 watts. Thanks!
