Hey, I just finished assembling a PC and it worked fine until last week when it crashed while playing Apex. I had to power it off by holding the power button for five seconds (not realizing it could damage the system). After that, I tried to turn it on, loaded Apex, and saw frequent micro freezes lasting about half a second, happening quite often. There were also random frame drops that dropped from 240 to 160 frames per second. This problem doesn’t usually occur during gameplay—it keeps happening even when I’m not playing. I’ve tried MemTest86, CrystalDiskInfo, and checked temperatures, but nothing out of the ordinary turned up. Anyone know what might be causing these microfreezes?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Remove all GPU drivers using DDU, then reinstall the newest GPU driver from Nvidia's support site via an elevated command—Right click the installer and select Run as Administrator.
For relevance, could you share the BIOS version of your motherboard right now?

I believe I discovered the problem, though I'm still getting familiar with PCs. I checked the RAM separately in different slots and found that the PC works with one but not the other. This suggests the RAM might be the issue.

Hey, I just checked if I had identified the issue correctly—swapping both RAMs didn’t help, and I tried DDU too, but the problem persists.
