Can I upgrade the Ryzen 3 1300x on a Gigabyte GA-Gaming ab350? I've never done it before and need some guidance.

Yes, that board provides OC options in BIOS. It also includes a heat sink on the CPU's VRM mosfets (assuming you mean CPU overclocking). You can also perform OC in Windows using Ryzen Master. Begin by turning off turbo and gradually increasing the Multiplier until temperatures become excessive or stability issues arise. If instability occurs, raise the CPU voltage one step at a time and retest. However, with the standard cooler, you may not be able to push temperatures sufficiently before the CPU throttles.

The stock cooler supports a slight overclock, but maintain temperatures below 80 degrees Celsius.
