I’m considering switching to the Cooler Master Liquid ML240L V2 ARGB for my Ryzen 5 3600. Although it seems a bit too powerful for a CPU with a Core i5, I appreciate the aesthetic and notice my temperatures stay under 80 degrees during Valorant. I’m curious about connecting the 3-pin pump connector since my Mortar Max lacks a CPU_OPT header. My research suggests it’s safe to proceed by plugging it into the CPU fan area, which was used before. I’m also trying to figure out how to sync all RGB without using ARGB, as the Mortar Max doesn’t support it. I’m really sorry I didn’t choose the B450M Steel Legend instead—it wasn’t obvious ARGB would matter much. Thanks for any help!
Used the same AIO but swapped in an ASUS motherboard. I’m sure most other boards besides Gigabyte have the 3-pin going into the CPU fan. I did that and everything is running smoothly without any noisy fans.
Yes, you can switch the AIO color to a static cyan using the ARGB controller.
