Looking for an affordable AM4 overclocking board?
Considering another AM4 board feels necessary for a few reasons. First, I aim to push my 3000G overclock further on a 2, and I need a reliable setup for running my 3600 at stock speed over the long haul. In the end, it seems like a good balance between performance and stability. I’m looking for something affordable with solid power delivery, consistent under heavy CPU use, and flexibility—like an older CPU that could get a BIOS update for Zen 2 support. This isn’t about the absolute cheapest option, but something in the mid-range that’s practical and not a completely out-of-the-box solution.
Asus Prime X370-Pro is often priced around £75 new and has impressed me as a solid overclocker. Buildzoid suggests it’s a good choice for budget-conscious OC enthusiasts.
Currently running at 3700X is a bit early to secure another unit, as I haven’t located one in stock at a reasonable cost.
Daang! Fair came back up quickly, pacing around the 75 mark for a while. B450 Tomahawk at 90 might be worth considering.
