Recently, HWMonitor has been showing extremely high boost clocks while gaming on my Ryzen 7 2700. The peak I've recorded so far is 5.51GHz. My CPU is set to 4.0Ghz at 1.35V, and I'm using the standard Prism cooler with an Asrock x370 Killer SLI/ac motherboard and a 16GB GSkill Trident Z 3200mhz RAM paired with an EVGA 600W power supply. Is this an error in reporting, or could something have gone wrong? Should I switch to an AIO to test further overclocking potential? I struggled to keep it stable at 4.1GHz without increasing the voltage, so I kept it at 4.0GHz but think a better cooler might let me push the voltage higher. I'm also concerned about long-term effects on the chips. How much voltage are these processors designed to handle?
