Hello everyone. I'm excited about the upcoming RE3 remake release in a week, but I'm currently short on funds. How often do AAA games typically wait before going on sale on Steam? Edit: downloading the game isn't an option here since a friend received a hefty fine for pirating a new AAA title.

It varies. The typical timeframe is a few months, though some games may offer discounts shortly after release. If you're keen, RE3 is available for pre-order on PC.

I understand, I usually purchase games from these popular platforms which often offer lower prices. After the release, I'll check if they adjust their pricing further. I'm okay spending around 30-35 dollars, as I want to avoid financial strain during this pandemic. I bought a game before knowing it would be released, how is that possible? Thanks for the tip. Edit: I wasn't aware these sites had keys before launch, how is that feasible?

Seems like Germany... Typically I wait a year or two before prices drop, then I purchase from trusted CD key sites like CDKeys. Using this approach lets me buy 4 or 5 AAA titles for around $60.

It's frustrating hearing about your piracy problems—it really gets under your skin. For instance, Steam is running sales constantly now; just wait for the right moment to add items to your wishlist and stay updated on price drops.
