Hi everyone! I have a TP Link RE1000 and am considering an upgrade. My main issues are that my TV disconnects when using the microwave, and streaming from my laptop suffers on YouTube due to bandwidth limitations. I’m looking for suggestions within a budget of around 60 USD. Thanks!

I don't have access to your home's wiring details. Could you provide more information or clarify what you're asking about?

My internet is fiber optic with 100/100 Mbps speed. If you're talking about the electrical system, it's at least 30 years old.

Consider alternative solutions beyond the range extenders you have. Explore Ethernet over power adapter with Wi-Fi coverage in your location. Are you in the US? If yes, options like the TP-Link AV600 Powerline WiFi Extender are available—though I used it in a rented home and later installed it in my apartment for better connectivity.

Wow, I didn’t realize this was achievable yet. I’m going to give it a shot. Thanks for the TV tips!

What kind of housing do you have? Are you in a rental agreement? (Please note, I understand this might be a personal matter.)

Have you considered installing a network cable? It fits nicely in trim OS something I do, and it performs well in those cases. Maybe think about it later. It costs me a lot—about 14 hours of work and $150 for the product.
