If you're thinking about PCIe 4.0 RAM, it would be a cool development if DDR5 arrives alongside the new Intel and AMD socket updates, possibly taking a couple of years.

PCIe Gen 4 is indeed quicker than DDR4. The ready boost is still useful for maximizing performance.
