I mention that too, yet Wireguard doesn’t seem to work well on my network for certain reasons. It’s strange since most sources claimed it would be more robust, but it often fails completely while OpenVPN over UDP performs consistently. Using TCP is usually discouraged because it can interfere with congestion handling. Personally, I prefer OpenVPN over UDP for its reliability, though I don’t understand why. It might be related to my ISP or pfSense configuration. This definitely doesn’t make sense since DNS, games, and HTTP/3 all rely on UDP.

You're suggesting we stop certain UDP packets. That makes sense, though it seems counterintuitive since many rely on UDP. The internet depends on it to operate.

I’m unsure about CGNAT details, but I see many devices use standard IPs. My goal is to keep my TrueNAS Server focused on storage, not VPN. I need a solution that works on ARM64 Jetson Nano, since Docker containers are usually x86_64 and my setup lacks enough x64 machines. Running a VM on my main Ubuntu desktop would block its use for OpenVPN. A router with native OpenVPN support is available, but managing user access feels less secure than having a dedicated machine behind it. What alternatives do you recommend?
