Looking for a suitable cooling pad for Dell?
Hello! I own a Dell Inspiron 15 3000 and am searching for an appropriate cooling pad. The exhaust port is located at the bottom, close to what I refer to as the back. I've been considering this... TopMate C11 Laptop Cooling Pad RGB Gaming Notebook Cooler, Laptop Fan Stand Adjustable Height with 6 Quiet Fans and Phone Holder, Computer Chill Mat, for 15.6-17.3 Inch Laptops - Red LED Light : Amazon.ca: Electronics. The idea is that one could turn off the two fans near the exhaust port area. So, would this cooling pad fit well or should I look for another option?
Use an eraser to remove the back part of the laptop above the tabletop, enabling air to pass under and into the cooling vents. The cooler connected is useless.
I'm interested in knowing if there are specific types of erasers to suggest, like the Klim or Karnak models.
Is there a particularly reason that you feel you need a cooling pad?
As suggested earlier, in general, they are a waste of money and get in the way when used.
As long as you ensure adequate airflow for the Dell, it should be fine without a cooling pad.
I understand that you and the Lutfij are strongly opposed to these matters, but in truth it seems like a complicated issue. I'm discovering that the Dell Inspiron 15 3000 is indeed leaking from the bottom, which is unexpected, so using a cooling pad might not be ideal unless I risk releasing the hot air back into the laptop and potentially causing it to catch fire.
Are there situations where cooling pads could prove useful? I’ve noticed with my new MSI Katana, when I check the screen, the fans start spinning. From what I understand, this happens because the machine is so slim. I’m wondering if placing a cooling pad with a mesh bottom might be a better choice than Clonazepam.
When the intake is at the bottom and the exhaust on the sides or rear, using a cooling pad can enhance airflow.
