Looking for a router with three WAN ports, ensuring at least two have 2.5Gbps capability.
My router configuration uses a balanced 50/50 split. This ensures all connections operate fairly most of the time. Previously, I had two DSL lines (125D/10U) and Starlink (~140D/30U), which together allowed me to reach peak speeds without CPU strain. I typically use Steam for benchmarking. I download a large file and wait 20-30 seconds until it stabilizes to the maximum download rate. From the router, I can monitor all connections pulling near their full capacity. Directly connecting my 2.5Gb coaxial modem from a server with 2.5GB bandwidth gives me roughly 1100-900Mbps. Starlink performance matches what I reported earlier. Perhaps creating two VLANs would help: one for wired devices on the coaxial line and another for wireless devices that don’t need low latency, running over Starlink. Could I set up these VLANs to switch connections automatically? Using a PFSSL solution might be an option.
The router was initially configured at 50/50 by default for the split. I adjusted it to 20(DSL)/80(Coax) without modifying anything else. Performance remains constrained, typically around 300–350 devices, mainly because of CPU limitations.
The problem was that "Offload" wasn't turned on. Resolved it fully. Achieved near 900Mbps using three switches via Speedtest.net. Very satisfied. Solution link provided.
