Looking for tools that compile your local ISPs and compare ping performance, especially for games like Fortnite. You might want services that scan your network or suggest optimal servers based on latency. Let me know if you need recommendations!

There are websites that display ISP locations in your area. However, these usually aren't fully accurate for serving your home. Even the FCC's page isn't completely reliable. Testing them is difficult—you'll likely need to arrange service yourself. Consider looking for a fiber provider if possible. If not, opt for your cable company instead of the phone provider.

Selecting a provider by ping to specific sites is the least effective method for choosing an ISP. Network latency in most areas is largely determined by the last mile. Copper and coax cables share similar latency levels and are significantly slower than fiber. Focus your choices on providers that provide fiber connectivity in your region. - Review available plans. Look at pricing for packages ranging from 100 to 200 Mbps; higher speeds usually offer little practical advantage for most users. If the base rate is competitive, it's a good sign. For continuous downloads, aim for even faster speeds. Avoid overspending unless necessary. - Verify additional charges and data limits, etc...

Two providers have fiber services, but neither is available near me. The only choices are copper and coaxial, which are also pricier than fiber. I need to relocate to an area with fiber: thank you for your assistance.
