Hello everyone,
I'm facing some problems with my latest setup.
Launched in April 2023, it worked well for a while before suddenly encountering strange crashes during games like Total War: Warhammer 3 and World of Warships.
Current configuration includes:
Windows 10 Home version 10.0.19045
AsRock Z790 Steel Legend
Corsair Vengeance DDR5 2x16GB in slots A2 and B2 CMK32GX5M2D6000C36
i7 13700k running at default settings with a Corsair H60 Elite on top, using fresh M.2 paste (applied yesterday).
EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti XC3
EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 GT
Running on a dual-monitor configuration.

All components—case, power supply, CPU, GPU, RAM, and OS SSD—are brand new from March 2023 and have been stable until now.
Now I can't run any traditional benchmarking tools without them crashing instantly. Examples include Prime95 (shows the shortest FTT before BSOD), Intel Burner (fails after two passes), CineBench r23 (can't start multi-core tests anymore), and Furmark's CPU burner (works for short bursts with 12 threads but crashes immediately otherwise).
I can perform GPU stress tests with Furmark, though.

I've tried updating the BIOS to version 9.03, downgrading to an older version (8.05), then restoring everything, using default UEFI settings, enabling or disabling XMP profiles, updating drivers cleanly, and even removing all but one RAM stick and the RTX 3080.
Despite these efforts, I still face crashes—especially with benchmarking software.
I've reset Windows completely, wiped all apps, and reinstalled the OS to ensure nothing is missing.

I’m unsure why this system is so unstable now.
Do you have any suggestions?
Here are two HwInfo screenshots: one showing idle performance and another at 12 threads from Furmark, which didn’t crash.

So an update here. Went and did a memtest86, all 4 passes succeeded including the Row Hammer tests on both sticks that I had in there currently.
After doing a ton more reading, I decided to try Intel's Diagnostic Tool and bingo, it started failing on Prime Number test. Intel's documents recommended disabling the Turbo for it, so I did and wouldn't ya know it.....success. In Prime95, no more BSOD's. In Cinebench, I can actually start a Multicore test.....
So I guess the question I have now is, do I leave it off entirely or do I instead put it back on and see if I can dial back how far it goes up in Turbo?
