About a year ago my parents purchased a Dell XPS 13 from a Dell outlet for my sister’s college use. Soon after, she observed the screen turning white when turned on by accident, then returning to normal when powered off. I only learned about this issue months later. I contacted Dell support for software solutions, but they eventually had to return it because the warranty was nearing expiration. When she returned for summer break, the replacement was almost complete, and after a Dell repair, the motherboard was swapped out without success. They ultimately decided to replace it with a newer model. The new unit doesn’t charge properly—power will disconnect randomly, then briefly recharge once plugged back in. I’m frustrated enough with them that I’d prefer they either send a fresh replacement or issue a refund so it can be upgraded to an HP or another compatible laptop.

I noticed you're talking about HP support, it's actually quite helpful. There are times when repairs come out of nowhere and are covered at no cost—though that usually feels odd for a multi-million dollar deal. What do you think an average user would think about getting a refund after such a big contract?

It's a refurb product that isn't charging correctly. You can use the provided charger or the one from your previous laptop.
