Looking for a PCIe WiFi card?
So I'm moving into a new house with my family. The only problem is, we will be without Ethernet ports for about a month. As someone whose hobby is PC gaming, and everything to do with the internet, this is troubling to me. My mobo (B450 Tomahawk) doesn't have built-in WiFi. Did some research, and found that a PCIe WiFi adapter is probably my best bet. A thing to note, the router is going to be upstairs, and it is gigabit connection. Do you fellow forum dwellers have any suggestions as to which card I should buy?
Do you have a budget in mind? Are you sure the router supports WiFi 5 or WiFi 6?
Opt for a wired setup whenever possible. Just purchase an affordable USB Wi-Fi adapter and after a month connect the PC, replacing the dongle with a new one for around seventeen dollars. A budget TP-Link link adapter is available on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-desktop-...ics&sr=1-1
I only recall the Nighthawk R8000. Checked Amazon, but no WiFi 5 or 6 options were listed.
