Searching for an unmanaged device with 24 to 48 RJ45 ports at 1Gbps and additional 10Gbps ports (2 to 4 extra, preferably RJ45). Any reputable manufacturer is acceptable. Appreciate your help. Edit: Also looking for a model with 24 10Gb ports. Thanks again.

Generally, at higher tiers everything is managed. I've encountered unmanaged 48-port gigabit switches, but once you reach 10Gbit/SFP+, they tend to be managed. For budget options, unmanaged switches are available on eBay, often starting around $20 used. If you need new equipment for a first purchase, I suggest checking out this recommendation. It works managed but can function as a placeholder switch—Ubiquiti Networks US-48-US. Regarding the second option, the only vendor I’m aware of that supports that many 10Gbit ports is CISCO, with some gear listed on eBay. New ones are limited to a 16-port configuration; I don’t know of anything higher. The Ubiquiti Networks US-16-XG-US

I suggest checking out this product https://mikrotik.com/product/crs326_24s_2q_rm. It offers several sfp+ ports and two 40 Gbit qsfp ports. Though it requires some expertise, it's more affordable compared to the top competitors. Best regards, BLVCK

He wants a fully integrated solution with plug-and-play features. RJ-45 ports would be helpful if possible. The SFP+ to RJ-45 converters are pricey, with the cheapest options around $55 each. That could add up quickly. Maybe we should suggest the same model that Switch Linus received last year—the Dell S4048T-ON—featuring 48 RJ-45 ports at 10Gbps, plus 6 QSFP+ and 40Gbps ports.

Cisco 4948 offers managed features with a straightforward setup you can copy-paste into your terminal emulator. It’s affordable and comes with 48 1 Gigabit ports plus 4 10 Gigabit SFP+ ports. I own one as my primary switch at home and it performs well. The only drawback is its noise level. You can purchase them on eBay for less than $75 regularly.
