I wouldn't go that way. The main benefit comes from having 16 cores, which is why you'd want the 5950x. If you can utilize this feature on more advanced boards, it's worthwhile. Also, a 16-core chip is likely too strong for a budget processor.

Choose a solid X570 or B550 for best results with the R9 5950x. The B550 Arous elite (v1) isn’t ideal for this setup. You’ll likely need only 8pin EPS and a decent heat spreader. The build quality is average at best for such a powerful CPU. Opt for a more affordable X570 like the Taichi or a B550 with a better heat sink. If possible, include an 8+4 EPS CPU and DR MOS. Also look for boards with a BIOS flashback feature—available on mid-to-high range models.
