Looking for a great Mac game while traveling? Need recommendations for PC gamers.
I’m planning a 3 to 4 week getaway tomorrow, or maybe the following day if conditions aren’t ideal. Although sailing is enjoyable and calming, you have ample free time. Personally, I don’t own a laptop since I’ve invested all my funds into my gaming PC. However, my mom received a MacBook Pro this Christmas, so she’ll be bringing that device. Unfortunately, I lack many Mac-compatible titles, which is why I’m seeking assistance. Because we’re aboard a boat (“We’re on a boat!”), online access is restricted. Therefore, any games the MacBook can run without internet would be ideal. What would be perfect would be strategy, city-building, or tycoon titles—games that are excellent for filling time and don’t require constant connectivity. I already have Civ 5 installed, so there’s no concern there.

Macs provide a surprising variety of gaming options; the Mac App Store and Steam offer more than many realize. For visually appealing titles, Trine 2 shines, and Tomb Raider remains an excellent choice. To enjoy quick entertainment, nearly every Lego game is available on Mac, and Kingdom Rush delivers a polished tower-defense experience. For high-quality AAA games, Arkham Asylum/City stands out, and Tomb Raider continues to impress. Indie gems like Thomas Was Alone, Year Walk, and Broken Age are all worth checking out. In action-packed games, Bioshock Infinite and The Walking Dead/Wolf Among Us are must-play. Explore the Mac Store at: http://store.steampowered.com/browse/mac/
