Hi! I'm based in Dubai and my internet comes from Etisalat with a 50mbps down, 20mbps up PPPOE connection. I might upgrade to 250mbps later. My current router is a DLink DIR853 with custom firmware from the ISP—it feels unreliable and seems like a low-quality device. There are at least 13 gadgets connected via WiFi, all running different tasks like video calls, gaming, and streaming. With so many devices, my router often struggles, showing intermittent drops, packet loss during games, and even complete crashes that last for hours. I’ve had it fail completely once, disconnecting me from the internet for an hour. I don’t need any extra equipment—just a solid router to manage all these devices smoothly. I’m considering a Wi-Fi 6 router for better performance and future-proofing, though range isn’t my main concern. I already have a PS4 connected via Ethernet, while most of my devices depend on WiFi. I’d like a router with features like MU-MIMO or similar to handle multiple connections efficiently. My budget is around 100–150 AED, and I’m planning to buy from Amazon.ae.
