I chose to dive into the latest version of Space Engineers, and naturally it turned out to be another mess. Now I’m searching elsewhere. My current challenge is that I’ve exhausted my options for a game that fits my taste. Maybe the community can help me spot something I’ve overlooked.
My needs are clear:
- A sandbox experience, not focused on a strict main quest or storyline. Think games like Conan Exiles, Minecraft, and those early space sims.
- Survival elements, though not mandatory.
- Building opportunities—especially vehicles—to enjoy in a fun way.
- Multiplayer might be clearer if I look at titles that use them as inspiration:
- Kerbal Space Program is a solid pick; it handles rockets, planes, cars, and boats well.
- Conan Exiles offers a mix of combat and exploration, though vehicles are limited.
- Minecraft remains my go-to, praised for its survival mode, tech progression, and multiplayer.
- Space Engineers is decent but the physics engine often glitches unexpectedly.
- ARK has a full stop ban; the developers don’t seem committed to quality.
- Scrap mechanic tries to balance fun and strategy, but feels more aimed at younger audiences.
- TUG showed promise but was abandoned by the team.
I’m not sure if I’ll find a perfect match, but I’m open to suggestions from the community.
The game is named Life. It's considered the best survival sandbox because failure means starvation. If you focus on building practical items instead of just wasting time, you could earn significant rewards financially and personally.
I’m already doing well in that game, which is why I don’t list a maximum budget.
Uncertain if it's better to complain or use the report option.
