You can figure out your motherboard model. The 4690K uses an AMD stock fan, which can be loud—check its noise level. Replacing it with a new one isn’t always recommended unless you’re replacing it. Thermal paste removal is still important even if you’re dropping the stock fan. Let me know if you need more details!

Is there an alternative processor that costs less? The one you mentioned is around $350 AU, but I didn’t notice it was forgotten.

Anticipate lower performance in Guild Wars 2, especially during intense battles with many players. Even with a strong i5-6600K running at 4.5 GHz, I often encounter frame rates between 35 and 40 FPS, though the game can reach hundreds when playing solo. An FX-4100 upgrade is still beneficial, but it won’t fully address issues likely stemming from ArenaNet’s side.

Press Windows key + R then type "msinfo32". It should show your motherboard details. The stock model is quieter compared to the AMD version, I think. Don’t throw it away, just keep it. There’s an i5 6500 available for $229. You shouldn’t expect 60fps all the time—it depends on the situation.
