I’m looking for a durable option that won’t break down quickly. Something reliable for several years ahead.

Generally, any Cat5e or better cable works. You only need to consider the length—keep it under 100 meters unless you have a specific requirement. Just visit your local store or browse online and buy a standard Cat5e or higher cable. They’re typically inexpensive and don’t require special features.

It’s the third simple model I purchased this year. I’m looking for something durable enough to last a few months.

You’re asking if your actions might harm them emotionally. If you keep changing things or disrupting them, it could lead to distress. An Ethernet cable won’t break from normal handling.

I can't post images, but I can describe what kind of damage might be visible if something is falling apart.

The cable protection and the casing—oh, I’m not sure anymore. Last time I tried moving it, it came loose and I’m still not sure what happened.

I've worked with thousands of Ethernet cables throughout my life, all without any issues. What are you getting? Simply purchase a single-price Ethernet cable on Amazon or buy directly from Monoprice. They seem to be the go-to source for Ethernet and speaker wires.

It feels as if you're standing on a flat surface in the center of the room, and the sunlight hits it directly. Yes, the sun shines on it.

It seems you're looking at budget-friendly cables. I've never experienced anything this bad, and I've used some inexpensive Ethernet connections before. Usually they fail due to rough use or wear, but not from everyday handling. I own a very basic cable (a half of a 100-foot one I bought on Amazon) that I cut and installed in my attic. It's not designed for walls or hot environments, yet it's been there for years without problems. I also used a cheap connector at the end, and it held up well too. This connection is the main part of my network, so any issues would be noticeable.
