Considering the situation, it might make sense to opt for a lower-end CPU like a Ryzen 2200 or 3200 for your x570 setup until the 5K series is released. Your current rig runs at 2600k, so even mediocre CPUs could offer better performance efficiency.

I’d just keep an eye on things and wait until prices look reasonable. I only bought one today because I’d already switched to an x570 a few months back; if I’d stayed on my old board, I’d have just waited.

It indicates you're in the USA, so the 5000 series is unavailable right now...

haha yeah... but I would still wait for them to become "available" rather then shell out another $100-$200 now. @FangerZero

It would fit better in the 50–80 range for a low-end CPU. Yes, availability and stock are different things. I ended up seeing the CPU twice in my cart but getting rejected both times. If I lived near a microcenter, I might have secured one since my employer just needs me to show up with my 40 and let others know I’m not available.

I'm not sure about how it would function in the USA since I'm from another country, but here I wouldn't be surprised to find affordable packages starting in January. If you're willing to wait, I'd be happy to help. You're the only one who can confirm that.
