Looking for a cheap and light video editor to run on my old computer?
I just need a computer that's easy to use. It only needs to do trimming, zooming, and adding text to videos. I have an old laptop with an Intel Core i3 processor, HD graphics, lots of memory (6GB), slow RAM speed, 500GB hard drive, and it comes from HP.
Avidemux is very lightweight. But you'll need to cut the video in half and then make it bigger again so it matches your original size before zooming in. That's just how video works; rendering always takes some time, nothing else comes close.
avidemux is pretty fast since it's so lightweight. But you still have to trim your clip down, shrink it back to its normal size, and then put it together into a full video file. No matter what you do, creating a new video will take some time. That just won't change though.
