The only available boards right now are from the steel legend line. The others are delayed at customs and the seller is charging an extra 5% on top of the usual fees.

I didn’t expect full backing or anything similar. Honestly, it seems a bit excessive compared to a Ryzen 5 3600 in today’s setups. Probably he just had bad luck with the board, or his CPU dislikes duel channel—something I’ve seen before.

The B450m costs about $106, the B550s are around $250, and the X570 is $330. I’m only considering the B450 version within my budget.

Fair point, though if a B450 board gets Zen 3 support it will likely be via a beta BIOS. I’m just noting that Gigabyte probably isn’t releasing such a BIOS for the B450 DS3H because they seem unlikely most users want Zen 3 CPUs on that kind of board. A 3600 is more than enough for gaming now and should last a while, but some upgradability remains a welcome feature.

Oh wow that's a terrible price for the ds3h. Honestly if the steel legend is 100 bucks. That's not a bad deal. And it can still handle an 8 core just fine.

It’s a better choice compared to the b550m ds3h since they’re similarly priced. The asrock offers more vibrant RGB effects.
