I bought the Huawei B593u-12 last December as a backup internet source. Since my local ISP has poor performance, I often need a quicker connection for work or gaming with low latency. The device shows two signal bars by default. I’ve noticed that positioning it in certain spots can boost the bars to three or more, but it sometimes drops back down. People on eBay mention cheap antennas claiming high gain like 35dBi, though reviews on YouTube and Amazon suggest they don’t deliver. Anyone have experience with this? I’m trying to find an affordable option because the hotspot itself was under $70, and I need a solid SMA male antenna connection.

The device itself doesn’t have antenna ports, yet the eBay image shows them. It’s likely the pictures are from another product or a different model.
