Bios flashback exists. When your board features an older BIOS with a flashback feature, you don’t require a CPU to refresh the BIOS.

Many mid to high-end motherboards (priced from 120 euros) include BIOS Flashback. This lets you refresh the BIOS without needing a CPU installed. You just transfer the file onto a USB drive, plug it into a specific port as described in the manual, and press a button on the board. After about 30 seconds, the BIOS is updated. It’s likely you won’t need a full update at first—it will function but may not be optimal—and a recent update after installing a Ryzen 3 will enhance performance.

The B550 is built for Ryzen 7000 series chips, not the 3rd generation. It was designed for the latest processors.
