Looking for a 4000mhz RAM module with a dark hero board?
Looking for others with a comparable build using 4x32 (PC4 32000) desktops running at 4000MHz on the same motherboard.
Operating at 4000MHz with four RAM sticks creates instability because of the number of sticks. I’d prefer a lower frequency, around 3733MHz. I saw someone attempt the same on a forum and it didn’t work out.
Good luck, buddy. I used 4x8 and it was quite challenging. The closest I got was 1900 with a 1:1 stable, and sometimes 1933, though it wasn't solid. My best result was 2100 with two sticks at a 1:1 ratio, but it wasn't stable. I managed stability at 2K. Let's try with two sticks and see how it goes.
This is some pretty expensive ram. I just posted this in hopes someone with the same dark hero board and similar ram would be like “oh yeah after updating bios my rig is loving these timings and fclk @ this ram etc lol
You're checking the information online. The optimal settings seem around 1900 fclk and 3800, while another person reported strong performance at 2000 fclk and 4000. It looks like stability is an issue, with few successful cases found so far.
I hadn't noticed you were also checking the fclk. If you are doing that, maintain a 1:1 ratio for optimal performance—even small changes can affect your results. 2000 is a solid sample range, so aim to target 1900 and observe the outcome. Once you achieve a stable setup, progress in small steps will be more effective. It's quite fortunate you begin using fclk at that stage.
Golden sample area looks promising. It seems they might have the necessary resources to achieve this. I'm also testing my 5950x to ensure optimal single and multi-core performance. Hoping to find some high-quality components.
