Choose 7,8 or 10 (retail versions). I frequently perform clean installs and aim for Windows 10 after each one, even past July 29, 2016 when the free upgrade to Win10 stopped. If I get Win8, do I need to switch from Windows 8 ISO then upgrade to Windows 10 after every install? Or can I just enter the Win8 key during the Windows 10 setup?
You should have a valid Windows 8 or 7 installation file and a Microsoft account ready, no need to type any keys during setup.
Upgrading from 7/8.1 to Windows 10 provides a fresh key while making your previous one invalid.
