Hello, regarding CPU overclocking, should I focus on Vcore underload or the BIOS settings for continuous use? Even with LLC1, I experience a voltage drop. On 1.37 it falls to 1.344. It seems possible to push it up to 1.40 or even 1.41, as it approaches the limit for long-term use. After that drop, voltage will stay below 1.40. Many people discuss 1.40 as the maximum for sustained operation, but I’m unsure if it relates to BIOS or Vcore underload. This has been my main concern. I’ve had this CPU for two years and recently started overclocking. My Asrock Z370 Extreme4 isn’t maintaining a flat voltage on LLC1, while BIOS shows a stable reading. Could it be a board issue or something specific to my setup? Thanks for your advice.
5ghz around 1.37v seems correct. My setting is 1.360v. Adjust the CPU LLC manually to avoid v-droop. Try level 3 instead.
I own the Extreme4 with an 8600k and it's mostly flat. It's been running at 1.36v for about three years, though it doesn't always run at full capacity. After converting to LLC, the performance has changed.
At 1.37 the output reaches 4.9. Level 1 is the best LLC configuration with the lowest voltage droop, covering up to 5 levels. At level 1 there is still droop, which prevents a flat voltage output for certain reasons similar to others.
