Long startup on fresh installation
Long startup on fresh installation
I’ve just assembled a new PC. The Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX motherboard paired with the AMD Ryzen 7700X, PNY GeForce RTX 3089, and other components are all set. When I power it on, the screen fails to display for a long time despite the fans cycling in and out. I suspect the issue might be related to the case fans not functioning properly or being misconfigured.
This appears to involve memory training techniques. Consider rebooting Windows to assess performance, as you mentioned enabling DOCP. If you're adjusting settings manually, it could point to a problem with your memory module, so a restart might help confirm the issue.
It happens often. In fact, my friend made the identical setup as mine, and we both faced the same issue.
It seems like the system is experiencing RAM timing issues. Each boot appears to trigger this problem.
This thread suggests a comparable configuration (Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX, 7700x, 64GB g.skill 5600MT) is experiencing the same problem. You noticed slower initial boot times but faster performance after memory training. The boot process seems to repeatedly set up memory each time it starts, which explains the delay. Despite using a non-QVL board and opting for XMP instead of EXPO, you haven’t encountered other major issues like blue screens or crashes. You’re hoping the next BIOS update will resolve this.
There are no new updates recently. Your build with the B650 and 7700 is experiencing a slow startup, and the suggested BIOS tweaks online haven’t resolved the issue or improved boot speed.
The term "long" refers to a specific time frame or duration, often used in troubleshooting to describe how long a system takes to respond or load.
