I possess an MSI X670-P Wi-Fi board with this configuration: the OS loads from M2_1, two 2-slot GPUs are installed in PCI_E1 and PCI_E3. I aim to install a PCIe 3.0 X8 card, preferring X4 performance but tolerating X2 speeds. With extra M2 slots available, converting one to a X4 slot seems feasible. The challenge lies in positioning M2_2, M2_4, and partially obscured M2_3. Even relocating the boot drive to a lower M2 slot wouldn’t help due to the CPU cooler blocking M2_1. I’ve noticed adapters like this one (link provided) that use long cables, but they seem rigid. Could a flexible, long cable work? Or are such adapters uncommon?
