Logitech Headset G935 experiencing static or white noise problems.
I recently purchased a Logitech G935 at our Christmas dinner, but soon after connecting it, a frustrating issue began. Whenever audio plays, a static noise appears that only disappears by lowering the system volume to about 60%. This isn’t working as expected, and I’m hoping this product functions properly given its price. Have you encountered a similar problem? I’ve reinstalled the GHub version, muted and unmuted the mic, but still can’t find a solution online. Please help me out!
It seems to be the headphones rather than the surroundings. They appear to use non-Bluetooth 2.4GHz wireless technology with a dongle. If they were wired analog, I’d try connecting them to older devices to test. Wireless is trickier, so perhaps a phone app that scans the 2.4GHz band could help identify nearby sources.
It seems unlikely the problem will resolve itself, but if it persists it suggests a driver—like a speaker—rather than a wireless connection, or possibly an amplifier issue.
I think I've identified the problem. Both my mouse and headset use 2.4 GHz wireless, which causes interference. After swapping the ports they were using, the static became much less noticeable—only appearing briefly when pausing a video. It's unclear if this fully solved it or just reduced it, but it really helped. If you have any other ideas to try for eliminating the remaining static, I'd appreciate hearing them.
