Logitech HD C270 functions with Zoom but not with Discord or the Windows camera app.
Hey, I recently bought a new webcam and wanted to use it for streaming to friends and video calls. But when I connected it, I encountered an infinite loading screen or a black screen depending on the app. I've tried updating drivers, disconnecting other USBs, and changing the port it's connected to. I've double-checked that permissions are correct and it should work. All the troubleshooting steps you can find online about why my camera isn't functioning seem to be covered. That said, some apps like Zoom and Discord work fine, while the Logitech Camera Settings app does. I've also verified that the settings within each app are correct. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks a lot.
Thank you very much for your assistance. The link you provided led me to download the Logitech G HUB software, but when I opened it, it didn't function properly. Still, I managed to locate the solution and resolve my problem, which I wouldn't have been able to do without your support. I will share the steps I took and where I discovered the answer.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer! Could you let me know which operating system you're using? If you're on Windows 10, please mention the specific version. Does your webcam appear in Device Manager without any error indicators? Regarding your build, could you provide the specifications so we can better understand what you're working with?
Hi! I am on windows 10, My OS build is 19044.1645, just in case that isn't right, the build version is 21H2.
In my device manager it does show up, under Imaging Devices as Logitech HD Webcam C270. There is no error or exclamation mark.

Thank you for your message. I'm having trouble fixing my problem. On Logitech's website, there seems to be no driver download available. I found a post here: https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/c...t-...bcam-C270-. It mentions that the drivers are already installed on the device. I want to change the driver, but I'm unsure how to do it or if the current system uses the Win10 OS version provided. I also don't understand how to configure the drivers in the Win10 settings. I'm a bit unclear about the help available. Thank you for your understanding.
Thank you for your assistance. The link you provided led me to download the Logitech G HUB software, but when I opened it it didn’t function properly. Still, I managed to locate the solution and resolve my problem, which I wouldn’t have been able to do on my own.
I’ll share the steps I took and where I found the answer.
I had to change the driver selected for my camera. After following these actions, my device manager treated it as a camera rather than an imaging device and it now works seamlessly everywhere.
