I purchased the mouse in 2019 and recently faced problems while dragging items on YouTube and in games. I attempted various fixes like blowing air under the left click, changing the USB port, and reinstalling Logitech G Hub software, but the issue persists. It’s becoming increasingly frustrating and I’m unsure if it’s a permanent problem or something that can be resolved. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If it occasionally double clicks or drops while you're moving something, the switch is likely faulty. You can choose three solutions: swap it out (needs soldering tools, a backup switch, and extra mouse feet), repair the switch by adjusting the metal spring or lever, or replace the mouse itself.

common issue with mice...switches can be swapped out if you're handy, but a simple fix is to place a sheet of regular printer paper between the switch and the button. on leaf mice from Logitech I've frequently used this method, and it functions well. these inexpensive switches are often found in more costly models. i stopped spending money on them when I got the Steel Series rival 650, which is almost a replica but still works fine. it's cheaper in my area, though that doesn't guarantee it won't happen again later.

It seemed straightforward—like blowing air under the left-click to remove dust—but it looks like it's time for a new mouse.
