Hi everyone
I'm facing a rather odd issue, so I'm using a high-end build. I'll share the details later and just mentioned that I recently purchased the Logitech BRIO 4K Webcam, which is perfect for streaming!
From the moment I plugged it in, especially during fast FPS gameplay, I notice micro stutter appears when moving my mouse quickly. But once I unplugged it, the problem disappears completely.
I've tried all possible fixes and haven't been able to pinpoint the exact cause. I previously used a Razer webcam before, which worked flawlessly, so upgrading for better clarity seems necessary.
All drivers are current on every component.

My setup includes:
- AMD Ryzen 3950x
- ASUS X570 ROG STRIX X570-E motherboard (updated BIOS)
- Western Digital WD Blue NAND 2TB M.2
- 32gb G.Skill 3600mhz RAM
- ASUS GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11gb
- Corsair Hydro Series H115i 280mm Liquid CPU Cooler
- Gigabyte Aorus AP750GM 750w Gold Power Supply

That’s interesting. Perhaps Logitech needs to improve drivers. At work one of our top executives received a new Microsoft Surface Pro 7 with a docking station. I spent hours trying to fix this issue because when I was ready to deliver it, the system functioned perfectly. When connected to the dock and everything plugged in, the sound and cameras stopped working, causing the surface to malfunction. This never happened before. I had to reset the system using that feature to reinstall the OS. It turned out the system restore option wasn’t enabled by default. To sum it up, during troubleshooting, every time his older Logitech webcam was connected, the surface would behave erratically. I experimented...

That’s intriguing. Perhaps Logitech should improve their drivers. At work one of our key executives received a new Microsoft Surface Pro 7 with a docking station. I spent several hours trying to fix this issue because when I was ready to present it, the system functioned perfectly.

When connected to the dock and everything plugged in, the sound and cameras would suddenly stop working, causing the surface to malfunction. This behavior had never occurred before. Eventually, I had to reset the system using that feature to reinstall the operating system. It turned out the system restore option wasn’t enabled by default.

To simplify things, the problem arose during troubleshooting: every time his older Logitech webcam was connected, the surface would become unstable. I attempted uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, but the only solutions were resetting the system or using system restore.

I ultimately swapped in a newer Logitech webcam we had available. It worked until the driver was updated again. Then the surface started behaving differently, though not as badly as before. I tried to prevent future updates by instructing the system not to download any driver updates.

I’m unsure why these issues occurred, but at least the Windows 10 version with the Surface didn’t accept the Logitech webcams well.

Thank you for your message! I'm not entirely sure if the problems are related, but I can say it's really frustrating. I just spent $300 on a webcam, so it's not something you'd normally expect to encounter.

Yeah, we have some of those brio webcams, they look decent but I’m not sure why you’d encounter the kinds of problems we’re talking about just through a webcam. I mean, considering the prices and timing, getting generic ones from Amazon might be a better option, lol.

I have a razer one that works perfectly with no problems at all, appears to be connected directly to the Brio 4K... Sigh
