I installed Amahi 19 on my home server and am really happy with it. After setting everything up, I faced an issue when trying to upload files via Windows Explorer—it displayed a login prompt asking for credentials. I tested various combinations: regular server login, admin credentials, domain changes, and even using hda.domainname.net\username. It seems the problem might be related to the domain configuration. Could you confirm if this message appears and what the correct access details are? Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked your login details? Such as when Windows boots up.

I can reach my shares on 5 Linux systems but not on any Windows clients. My friend, a networking expert, suggested using Samba to troubleshoot, and he asked this question himself. I haven’t tried it yet. It might be useful.

Visit your server and verify that the GUI is available so users can reach the files easily.

You're asking about the requirements for creating a user account on the server, specifically regarding the username and password details.

You're asking about the term "user" in the context of a server. For your account, you should use a username that matches your identity and a password that is secure and unique. Make sure it meets any requirements set by the platform you're using.
